Nitish dumps Lalu to befriend BJP

There are neither any permanent allies nor such enemies in politics. Everything is temporary. In this field you come across various kinds of chamaleons, spread everywhere - some clinging to the branches of an old tree (in the form of his original party) upside down, some in the process of changing its color according to its new surroundings.

Nitish kumar, the Bihar CM, is one such chamaleon, who was in the process of changing color since last 8 months. Although he did get involved with Lalu prasad to create a महागठबंधन, he knew deep down in his opportunistic mind, that this marriage was not going to last longer, keeping in view Lalu's rotten image of a highly corrupt neta. So he started making all kinds of gestures, which were in some way attracting the BJP. In other words, he started what is termed as "passive flirting" with it.
Eventually, he realized that he should somehow eliminate Lalu to stay in power, else in the next Bihar Assembly elections of 2020, he will be viewed in the same corrupt category as Lalu. So he slowly got involved in a new paradigm-shift and started drifting away from Lalu, by making comments and remarks favoring BJP.

Modi and Shah new what was coming next. Lalu was unaware. It seems that even after a long political career, Lalu is getting defeated again and again because he is not paying attention to some basic points of politics. Either he is doing it deliberately or it is his futile ego which isn't allowing him to do, what should be essentially done. The result is obvious. He is out of power now.

Some say that Nitish has removed Lalu because of the corruption done by Tejasvi, his son. Didn't Nitish know while he was getting involved with Lalu for महागठबंधन that the latter is corrupt? It isn't about corruption rightnow. It wasn't about secularism when both joined hands 2 years back to defeat BJP. It's all about politics - perhaps, the most ugly aspect of it.
