Smriti Irani is not the right choice to become the CM of Gujarat

There have been news floating around that Union Minister Mrs. Smriti Irani will become the next Chief Minister of Gujarat. If that is true, then let me tell you being a gujarati that she is not the right choice.

I have been watching the former TV actress representing BJP on TV debate shows since 2008. She lacks all the virtues necessary to be a state leader, like calmness of mind, decency in speech and above all ability to think with a long-term perspective. She has got involved with about a dozen people in severely bitter debates, some of which have dragged her to the courts too. Being tough with your opposition is good but being rough and brutal with them in your usage of language is bad. That reflects your lack of acumen, shortage of ideas and inability to remain cool under pressure situations. Violence can not happen just physically. It can also happen in words, in your language when you speak such words which are termed as indecent in public life. Smriti is used to such words. She has attributed Rahul, Sonia Gandhi, P.Chidambaram, Manmohan Singh and such other congress leaders with such adjectives in the past that no body who has watched her speaking in that manner and in that vicious tone, would ever accept her as his/her leader, even if he/her is an ardent BJP supporter.
Secondly, she had lied about her educational qualifications in 2014, when Modiji made her the Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development. Being just 12th pass, she had claimed that she was a graduate, having finished her B.A from a college in Delhi. These claims were challenged by so many opposition leaders against which she could not provide ample evidence in support to what she was saying. As a result she had to be degraded from being a Cabinet Minister for HRD to a Minister of State for Environment, a humiliating face-saving exercise, which Modi has rarely resorted upon in the last 3 and half years.
In short, she is a loose cannon, which just knows how to fire, in a rather unorganised and stupid manner. Her achievements as a Minister do not speak great volumes about her abilities. If Modi is thinking that by making Yogi Adityanath, an ardent Hindu Rashtra thinker, the CM of Uttar Pradesh, he took the right step, he is correct because he is a skilled and practical person, who has the knack of governance. But on the same lines, if Modi is thinking that another Hindu Rashtra patriarch in the form Smriti should be made the CM of Gujarat, then he is wrong in his calculations. After all, track-records do guide a person in taking vital decisions. -(kb/20-12-17)
