Can India and Pakistan ever get re-united ?

After the second world war, Germany got split into two parts -- West Germany which had the support of the western countries like US,UK etc. and East Germany which had the support of Stalin's Russia ( then USSR ). This happened just within months of Hitler's death and the end of W W 2. And then in 1990 the Germanies got united with the falling down of the Berlin wall !! During these 45 years from 1945 to 1990, the people inside these two countries felt betrayed by their own leaders ( and also other world leaders ), who infact were responsible for dividing a single nation into two. They never felt away from their brethren on the other side of the border emotionally. Just like what the political leaders of Pakistan and India have been doing in the last 69 years, their leaders gave speeches publicly, which were oozing with venom and hatred for the people on the other side of border. Yet they got united in the end . The main reason as to why this happened was such that India and P

Should Nuclear power plants be gradually shut down worldwide ?

According to latest news, the German government has decided to close down two more of its Nuclear reactors. With this the number of active nuclear reactors inside Germany will be reduced to just six.  In 2011, Chancellor Angela Merkel had announced that Germany will gradually shut down all of its 17 Nuclear Power reactors by the year 2022.This came in the wake of the Fukushima nuclear disaster of Japan. At that time all 17 were operational and immediately after the japanese disaster, Merkel asked to close down 8 of the 17 plants. Some call it a wise decision, while others criticize it as a hasty and immature one. Let us analyse.  Since the commissioning of the first nuclear reactor in the US,in 1952, it has been a subject of intense debate, to discuss "the safety aspects of having a nuclear power plant". Although, some may argue that it provides cheap electricity at just 2 cents per unit, many are of the opinion that still it is advisable "not" to have a n

" Brexit " -- Should Britain remain in the EU or leave ?

The british Prime Minister Mr. David Cameron, has asked his fellow citizens to vote against the proposal asking Britain to leave the European Union,in the forthcoming referendum on June 23rd.  According to Cameron, Britain is more financially and regionally secured, if it remains inside the EU - financially because it can benefit from a common currency ( i.e. the Euro ) as well as conduct business with other 27 nations inside the European Union easily and with no regional boundaries ( according to Schangen agreement ). Free trade and commerce will continue to develop under such circumstances.  However, Mr.Boris Johnson, former mayor of London, is of quite an opposite opinion. According to him, a Brexit, i.e. Britain's exit from the European Union is the only option which can help Britain and the britishers. He argues, in quite a controversial manner, comparing the concept of having a huge league of nations like the European Union, being similar to the idea conceived by Ad

Ted Cruz pulls out. Shouldn't Kasich and Sanders follow ?

In a shocking announcement yesterday, US Presidential election Republican contester, Senator Ted Cruz announced that he is pulling out from the Race for the top job. Immediately after the results of Indiana primary, he said this and added that this he has decided because it wouldnot be possible for him to acquire the required number of delegates, necessary for a nomination from the Republican party.  This came a huge shock for his supporters and a good news for those of Trump. Donald Trump welcomed this move and called it " a brave and correct decision". Whilst Cruz's supporters thought he still should have continued to fight for the nomination.  As of now Donald Trump has aggregated 1047 delegates, out of the 1237 necessary for republican nomination. Cruz is second with 565 whereas Rubio and Kasich are respectively third and fourth with 171 and 153 delegates to their names. Marco Rubio was already withdrawn his nomination. (The total number of delegates through
