Were Gujarat Election results a "moral victory" for the Congress party?

Life teaches us lessons every single day. Smart people learn them and make good progress. However, some people just do not learn a single thing, in spite of the same lesson getting repeated in front of them. One of such is Rahul Gandhi. The Congress party got 77 seats out of 182 in the recently held Gujarat Assembly elections. Although they registered a gain of 16 seats over the last result of 2012 (in which the got 61), it was a clear-cut defeat for them. Yet Mr. Rahul Gand hi said yesterday that it was a "moral" victory for the congress party as they could gain 16 seats and snatch them from the ruling BJP!! Instead of making "aatma-chintan" (soul-searching) as to why they could not manage to get to the majority mark of 92 and finding reasons for falling short by 12 seats to that decisive figure, he claimed that it was a moral victory for the Congress. Review of "Dhurandhar" movie

Drawn by its massive hype, yesterday I went to a nearby INOX cinema to watch "Dhurandhar" starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, etc. I was not so impressed by this movie as it contains truckloads of violence and abuses. Thus, it's not a decent movie, the likes of which one can watch alongside his family. The acting of Akshaye Khanna is good but not that great as what has been hyped about by the media, so far. Not that he has failed to try his best. He has indeed tried hard and succeeded in putting up a very good performance. But the script of the film is full of violence and bad words. He too speaks a lot of abuses. I don't like these things, basically and hence on a personal level, I won't give him much more rating than a 7 out of 10. As a matter of fact, I found the role of Ranveer Singh much better, until the last hour of the film. In the first 2 and a half hours, he is silent, sober, and decent. But in the last 75 min...

After the second world war, Germany got split into two parts -- West Germany which had the support of the western countries like US,UK etc. and East Germany which had the support of Stalin's Russia ( then USSR ). This happened just within months of Hitler's death and the end of W W 2. And then in 1990 the Germanies got united with the falling down of the Berlin wall !! During these 45 years from 1945 to 1990, the people inside these two countries felt betrayed by their own leaders ( and also other world leaders ), who infact were responsible for dividing a single nation into two. They never felt away from their brethren on the other side of the border emotionally. Just like what the political leaders of Pakistan and India have been doing in the last 69 years, their leaders gave speeches publicly, which were oozing with venom and hatred for the people on the other side of border.
